Booking a Hotel for a Champions League Match
Once UEFA announces the exact match dates, supporters should book accommodation as soon as possible.
Champions League fixtures can cause hotel prices to rise significantly, particularly in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, London, Munich, Milan and Liverpool.
A good strategy is to choose accommodation:
- close to a railway or Metro station;
- within easy reach of the city centre;
- with flexible cancellation;
- preferably with breakfast included;
- and not necessarily directly beside the stadium.
Staying one or two Metro stops away from the stadium can often provide a much better choice of hotels and restaurants.
For supporters travelling from the Netherlands, Belgium or Germany, international trains can also be an attractive alternative to flying for destinations such as Paris, Lille, London and parts of Germany.
